Literature at Pishwanton Wood
We are inspired by famous Germany writer Goethe. Therefore Literature, eco-poetry, visual arts, landscape photography, natural sculpture and landscaping are some of our passions. We always welcome initiatives.
“Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832).
In 2014 we celebrated the John Muir´s centenary with Paul Matthews!
In April 2014 we had a day of writing creatively and playfully together in response to trees and other leafing things in the Pishwanton Wood. We took inspiration from the writings of the naturalist John Muir whose life we are celebrating… his gift for devoted observation, his love for the Earth’s wild places.
PAUL MATTHEWS guided the writing tasks is the author of two inspirational books on the creative process, Sing Me the Creation and Words in Place (Hawthorn Press). The Ground that Love Seeks and Slippery Characters (Five Seasons Press) are gatherings of his poetry. Paul has taught for many years at Emerson, in Sussex. For more details of what he does see his official website, available here.
We love eco-literary initiatives such as Earth Lines magazine. We are keen on learning more about other publications and writers!
Nature and Landscape Photography at Pishwanton Wood
We are very keen on organising a landscape photo competition in our stunning panoramic location at different times of the year.
We love literature, photography, natural sculpture and many other artistic disciplines, so let us know if you would like to organise an event! We will be very happy to promote it at Pishwanton Wood!
